2018 Climate Change Summit
Thanks to the generous support of the Petoskey-Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation, Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council hosted the Climate Change Summit on May 11, 2018 to help specify local climate change impacts and plan for how to help local governments make our coastal cities resilient to the changing climate. For the convenience of those unable to attend, the summit was video recorded. We have also provided the powerpoint presentation slides from each presenter below.
Additionally, the Watershed Council was able to produce the "Resiliency Plan for Local Governments in the Little Traverse Bay Watershed" (right), released in October 2018. The purpose of this report is to help inform natural resource managers and local officials about expected impacts from our changing climate and help local governments make our coastal cities resilient to these changes. Information and resources found in the document also support the overarching goals of the Little Traverse Bay Watershed Protection Plan. |
