Lake Geneserath

Description:
Lake Geneserath is remote yet publicly accessible and knowingly fishable. It is located in the southeast corner of Beaver Island, which is in Charlevoix County. The eastern shore of the lake is less than a half mile from Lake Michigan, while the western and northern shores have complexes of forested and unforested wetland. Deer and other wildlife frequent its shores.

None.
Monitoring and Research:
Lake Geneserath was formerly monitored through the Watershed Council’s Volunteer Lake Monitoring (VLM) Program. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, contact the Watershed Council at 231-347-1181. It was monitored on and off from 1996 to 2007.
