Description:
Lake Geneva is a small, shallow, peaceful lake that is located in the headwaters of the Upper Black River in the Canada Creek Ranch area in northern Montmorency County. The majority of the lake’s shoreline has been developed for residential use, though there is an expanse of wetlands at the lake’s southern terminus. Lake Geneva is located just outside of the Atlanta State Forest.
Known Aquatic Invasive Species: None
Monitoring and Research:
Lake Geneva is NOT monitored through the Watershed Council’s Volunteer Lake Monitoring (VLM) Program. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, contact the Watershed Council at 231-347-1181. It was monitored on and off from 1996 to 2007.
